  1. yk is a web plan vector of the member which is perpendicular to the member axis
  2. yI and yJ are the vectors at the nodes I and J respectively and parallel to yk
  3. ϕ I and ϕ I are the rotations of the vectors yI and yJ (see Table 6)
  4. Assumption of the mean rotation: ϕ k=(ϕ I + ϕ J)/2
